(-2)^3=-8, then (-8)^(1/3) must be = to -2

description

Hi,

there is an issue,

If (-1)^3 = -1, then (-1)^(1/3) = -1 because (-1)(-1)(-1) = -1 and also for:

(-2)^3=-8, then (-8)^(1/3) must be = to -2, because (-2)(-2)(-2)=-8.

For pair exponents:
If n is pair then (-1)^n = 1

For odd exponents:
If n is odd then (-1)^n = -1

Ronny

You can use "root(-8, 3)" = -2.
